UKG is seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional with a strong background in penetration testing and ethical hacking.

About the Job

To be successful in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of cloud environments, web application security, API security, mobile application security, and network security. You have a passion for staying up to date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques. Your excellent problem-solving and analytical skills enable you to identify complex security issues and propose effective solutions.

Responsibilities• Conduct comprehensive penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on our cloud environments, web applications, APIs, mobile applications, and network infrastructure.• Identify security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations and evaluate their potential impact on our systems and data.• Perform manual and automated security testing, utilizing a wide range of industry-standard tools and techniques.• Conduct manual validation of fixes and compensating controls to ensure the effectiveness of remediation efforts and the implementation of appropriate security measures.• Generate detailed reports outlining identified vulnerabilities, including their severity, risk, and recommended remediation measures.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed and appropriate security controls are implemented.• Stay current with emerging security threats and industry best practices to continually enhance our security posture.• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications

About You:

Basic Qualifications:• 3+ years of experience in manual penetration testing.• Experience in developing custom tools and scripts for vulnerability scanning, exploit development, or security automation.• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and associated security considerations• Familiarity with secure configuration and hardening of cloud platforms and network devices.• Excellent written and oral communications - delivering high quality reporting and collaboration with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Ruby, to automate penetration testing tasks and enhance testing capabilities.• Market relevant certifications such as OSCP/OSCE/OSWP/GPEN/GWEB is a plus.
