Inari is the SEEDesign™ company. We embrace the diversity and complexity of nature in every aspect of our business to drive innovation – to push the boundaries of what is possible. Through our unrivaled technology platform, Inari uses predictive design and advanced multiplex gene editing to develop step-change products. We are taking a nature positive approach to unlock the full potential of seed that will transform the food system. The results will lead to more productive acres delivering value creation for farmers and a more sustainable future for our planet.

Our success is dependent on great minds, collaborating to generate bright ideas and deliver exceptional outcomes.

We have over 270 employees, with research sites in Cambridge, MA (USA) and Ghent (Belgium), as well as a product development site in West Lafayette, IN (USA). We’ve deliberately built a team that brings diversity of thought to all aspects of our business, to generate new ideas, approaches, and ways of operating. And we've intentionally combined experience with potential, bringing agriculture industry experts with the desire to innovate together with bright minds from academia, human therapeutics, software, and consulting. If you want to be part of a diverse and inclusive team developing unique solutions to feed the world while protecting our planet’s natural resources, we’d love to hear from you!

Who we are seeking:

·       Technically brilliant, operationally solid, and interpersonally engaging leader for Inari’s People Operations organization (People Operations = Technology, Process, & Compliance for Human Resources).

·       A “leader” experienced in HR process design & oversight (especially those technologically enabled), HR technology strategy development & execution, payroll & benefits administration, reporting & analysis, and overall HR compliance.

·       An “architect” of talent, able to attract, engage, develop, and retain talent, especially within the HR Operations team.

·       A true “customer service leader”, able to anticipate & respond to needs of key stakeholders, including Inari team members, People organization, Finance, Legal, and Inari’s leadership team.

·       A “juggler” – equally adept at balancing strategic considerations with practical constraints or considerations.

·       A sophisticated “consumer” in evaluating, selecting, implementing, and optimizing HR technology, with a special focus on leveraging these technologies to optimize employee experience and drive fact-based decision-making through rigorous analysis of data.

·       Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding human resources, specifically focused in areas of payroll and benefits administration.

·       A strong collaborator, able to create “win/win” opportunities for key stakeholders.

·       Someone who can create a “one-stop shop” for all things people technology, process, and data related within Inari.

·       NOTE: Position can be located out of any of Inari’s three primary locations (Ghent, BEL; Cambridge, MA; or West Lafayette, IN) or remote.

Responsibilities:

·       Develop, optimize, and maintain Inari’s HR Operations infrastructure (technologies, processes, reporting, & analysis), focusing on both immediate & longer-term needs of the organization.

·       Lead the HR Operations team, comprised of two Analysts & one Coordinator.  Build & sustain a top tier Ops team, focused on driving operational excellence & customer service.

·       Proactively partner with other People team members and relevant stakeholders to ensure that the organization’s HR systems, processes, and procedures are fit for their intended purposes and the broader needs of the organization are met.

·       Oversee and administration data retention for the People organization.  Ensure that Inari’s people systems & processes are “bullet-proof” from a security perspective.

·       Provide primary support & service for all Inari’s people-specific reporting and analysis.

·       Manage relationships with Inari technology vendors, ensuring that investments in these areas beat or exceed organizational return on investment targets.

Other Requirements of the Role

  • Work experience as a Head of HR Operations or a similar level & type of role
  • Hands-on experience with HR information systems, with focus on HR information systems and payroll
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance/accounting, psychology, or other social science strongly preferred
