Lead Principal Engineer Technical Marketing - Product Application Engineering
Job Description
As Lead Principal Engineer Technical Marketing, you will be responsible for Product Application Engineering activities in the area of battery powered Motor Control targeting applications like power tools, light electric vehicles and multicopter.
Job description:
You will lead a team that technically supports existing and upcoming products and manages technical interaction with our customers. This includes the generation of design in collaterals for existing and upcoming integrated circuits (ICs), technical support on product level, hardware prototyping, system measurements, "fit for use" testing as well as training of our technical sales as well as customers. The team interacts closely with a complimentary team that focusses on product definition.

In your new role you will:
- Lead technical marketing team consisting of Product Application Engineers for segment Motor Control
- Manage a team based on own, strong technical expertise including also general management tasks such as people development and talent management
- Develop go-to-market collaterals including Application Notes, Demo Boards, Evaluation Boards
- Define and run technical trainings on product and application level
- Drive product evaluation and validation under application conditions including "fit for use"
- Analyze technical market trends and consolidate gained requirements into Applications and Product Roadmaps
- Support development and implementation of segment strategy and derive and drive TM relevant execution
- Identify valuable improvements in terms of TM working tooling, methodology and ecosystem and initiate their implementation

You have the ability to technically understand products and systems comprehensively. You are able to understand complex topics and to divide them into understandable blocks. You contribute your abilities and skills and make sure that professionally correct decisions are taken. You have the passion and the courage to develop new and creative ideas. You enjoy developing your knowledge and skills and motivate yourself and others to achieve top results and performances. As a true team player you enjoy working with colleagues on a world wide base, regularly share your insights with them and driving regionally tailored activities independently.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bring a degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics and/or Industrial Engineering
- Gathered at least 8 years of relevant work experience in industrial or consumer area with first team leading tasks preferably in technical marketing, sales or R&D
- Have a solid technical understanding of motor control applications with focus on motor inverter. Knowledge about selected, controlling micro controller and market relevant control schemes (FOC, trapezoidal) is advantageous.
- Have a solid technical understanding of low voltage (up to 150V) Silicon (Mosfet) and Wide Band Gap (GaN) based power devices (Mosfet and GaN) motor control applications with focus on motor inverter
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead also technically
- Advanced communication skills and team player mind-set
- Excellent English communication skills, including the ability to present and report in a clear and convincing manner

Wage Range that the Company expects to pay for a qualified candidate:
Minimum of $174,000 salary per year
Maximum of $239,000 salary per year
