Lead Print Systems Engineer
Job Description
We work in a Hybrid-flex environment, three days are required to work in the office.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage the suite of print management software including the secure pull print system, MFP scanning configuration system, printer security management systems and printer device management systems.
- Engineer and configure print systems between various classification levels and ensuring security of printers and associated systems to include print servers, printer security software, printer back-end software, and firmware.
- Be proactive in addressing performance and maintenance items to ensure highest system availability possible.
- Identify future printing trends and technologies that can be engineered to meet or exceed anticipated user requirements.
- Configure print services for redundancy and fail over capability as well as ensure backups and recovery of the print services configuration and back-end infrastructure.
- Ability to understand typical printer deployment issues and troubleshoot installs of applications and determine if issue is hardware or software related and resolve issue by either implementing fixes or guiding customers through problem resolution.
- Set-up systems and provide post implementation support, user guidance or training and maintenance.
- Ensure that the client's performance, security, user experience, reliability, availability, and all other functional and non-functional requirements are met.
- Utilize appropriate change-management techniques to implement any system changes including the documentation of said changes and providing updated training materials to customers and information technology specialists where their processes may be altered based on any changes.
- Maintain and update system documentation, assist with system accreditation and monitoring, and provide timely problem resolution.
- Track all system inventory and update documentation of any configuration changes.
- Troubleshoot, respond, and resolve Tier 3 and Tier 4 tickets related to print devices, back-end print infrastructure, security patching, and configuration.
- Continually transition knowledge to the desktop and service desk support staff through training and assistance on how to use the technology using industry best practices. Author step by step solutions for Tiers 1 and Tiers 2 for frequently asked questions and problem resolution references.

Required Qualifications:
- Five (5) years' experience working in an IT position.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in central management of multi-functional printers of various models and capabilities with vendor printer device management software.
- At least two (2) years' experience in administration and supporting vendor or aftermarket secure pull print software solutions.
- At least two (2) years' experience in using Windows Servers to host print management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least two (2) or more years' experience in administering HP Security Manager, HP Advance, HP Access Control Secure Pull Printing, Web Jet Admin, Windows Server and SQL Server software.
- Professional IT certifications (A+, Security+, Network+, or higher).

Base Pay Range: $104,900/yr. - $169,700/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
