Herself Health is an Advanced Primary Care practice for women 65+ enrolled in Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans. Our mission is to redesign healthcare for women 65 and up. We personalize care by connecting life goals with health goals to help our patients get more out of life. The company was founded in 2022 by the successful venture-backed team at Juxtapose, based in NYC, and a board with a well-established record of building best-in-class healthcare companies. Our focus on patient experience, staff training in women’s health, and value-based care differentiate us and allow us to provide best-in-class primary care to our patients. Our goal is to ensure that every patient feels seen, heard, understood and respected as she navigates her unique care journey. Our first clinical market is Minneapolis/Saint Paul, MN.

About the Lead Product/Service Designer Role:
The Lead Product/Service Designer will be our first Designer on the team and report to the Chief Experience Officer. You’ll be part of establishing the product & and design culture and ways of working across Product, Brand, Marketing & Care Delivery to radically transform the experience & and accelerate impact! You will lead research & and discovery to identify the core needs and work collaboratively to define solutions to those needs through workshops, and service blueprints. You love the execution as much as the ideation and can work alongside the product, tech & ops team to breakdown & prioritize the design & work through all the nitty gritty details to make the full end to end experience shine.
We are looking for a strong designer who:
- Is a Full-stack Designer w/ Service Design Focus: As the first member of the design team, you’ll have the opportunity to put all those design skills to use with a chunk of the role focused on service design. From what we say in visit confirmation, from how we greet people as they enter the clinic to how we might deliver patients a personalized care plan, you can tackle it all.
- Deeply Understands the User: You keep a pulse on user needs by speaking with patients directly, combing customer satisfaction surveys, leading strategic user research, analyzing behavioral data & use these insights to improve the experience.
- Crafts Meaningful Experiences: You have a keen ability to brain hurt on the most important problem areas and communicate solutions through impactful storytelling, service-blueprints, wire frames, UX Journeys or prototypes.
- Is Driven to Radically Transform Healthcare: You continuously learn about the intricacies of service design & and healthcare, keeping pace with evolving trends, regulations, and patient expectations. You are not content with the status quo.
- Cultivates Collaboration: You facilitate collaborative brainstorming where team members contribute ideas and concepts. Your work goes beyond delivering Figma files into understanding how you can contribute to helping deliver. You are seen as a thought partner and someone that people across the org bring challenges to think through.
Must-have's:
- A portfolio that showcases your ability to dig into complex workflows and distill them into delightfully simple design solutions, preferably in healthcare or another regulated field.
- Breadth and depth of experience across the product lifecycle and design competencies. You’ve developed your craft from years of experience in the trenches and have more recently led design from idea to delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to transform healthcare patient experience.
- You thrive in a startup environment.
- Expertise in design tools (e.g. Figma, Lucid Chart, Miro, Webflow)
- Have high customer empathy with ability to leverage the tools needed comb through vast amounts of data (research, ad-hoc analysis, industry landscape) to problem solve or discover opportunities.
Nice-to-haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g. interation, graphic, visual communications, product)
- Expertise in Value Based Care, Women’s Health or Geriatrics
- Depth of product expertise in User Research, Visual Design, Brand or Consumer Product Design, Content
$165k-$175k base salary
