About Multilateral Segment Solutions team: Our team brings together the best of PayPal, Braintree, Venmo and Hyperwallet for Businesses that either act as intermediaries or provide platforms to enable buying/selling of goods and services. Our team of product managers, designers, and engineers are passionate about their craft and excited to build comprehensive payments solutions for such businesses, irrespective of their size or global reach.

About the Role: As a Lead Product Manager on the Multilateral Business Solutions team, you will be responsible for understanding the end-to-end needs of multilateral businesses by talking to our customers alongside our sales and marketing teams. You will be the end-to-end product ‘expert’ and engage with merchants on a regular basis to understand requirements, deliver product updates and manage escalations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure that the product capabilities deliver against business objectives. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a keen eye for detail, the courage to question the established normal and the drive to solve customers’ challenges.

Job Description:

Your Responsibilities:  

  • Define product requirements to articulate desired end-to-end product features and functionality to technical, partner product teams, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Engage closely with engineering and architecture to help determine the best technical implementation/design while balancing time-to-market needs.  

  • Partner with cross-functional teams at PayPal and external partners to design, build, launch, and market new payment capabilities. 

  • Collaboratcross-organizationally with customer support, operations, legal, compliance, risk management, engineering, user experience, QA and other functional areas, to ensure alignment with related go-to-market activities. 

  • Cross-functional product team execution (with Project Manager and Engineering Manager), to ensure meeting project milestone dates, driving decisions across teams and escalating appropriately. 

  • Be the product ‘expert’ and act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of your product and its features across the company. 

  • Partner with Professional Services and Customer Support teams in solving pain points for our users.  

 

Qualifications:  

  • Minimum of a BS/BA is required 

  • 10+ years of online payments or related product management experience 

  • Proven track record for building, launching, and maintaining high-scale, successful products 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across global teams 

  • History of leading and executing in fast-paced, high-growth, uncertain environments 

  • Comfortable using data and analytics to inform product decisions 

  • Ability to lead cross-functional groups and drive action  

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to thrive in a matrix environment where success depends on a high degree of cross-functional collaboration 

  • Strong ability to translate product needs to technology and understand technology 

  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
