Job Description

WHAT WE DO MATTERS:

Here at The Knot Worldwide, we believe in doing work that matters. In 16 countries around the world, our leading family of brands (The Knot, WeddingWire, Bodas, Hitched, The Bash, The Bump, and more) inspire, inform, and celebrate our communities as they move through life’s milestones. Our couples and business partners depend on us. They're all in. So are we.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

We are seeking an experienced and impassioned Lead Product Manager to help us build the next generation of global wedding advertising at The Knot Worldwide. You will work to create personalized, engaging, and performant ad formats and experiences for web and native platforms. You will work closely with business, engineering, and design partners to develop and execute the product strategy that efficiently connects millions of engaged couples planning their weddings with the most relevant advertising partners. Your work will contribute to creating a more complete offering of products and services for couples planning their weddings and drive business growth for us and our advertising partners.

You should be excited about building new products from Minimally Viable Experiments to iterating, and scaling the existing advertising products. You never lose sight of the users’ needs and make sure that our offerings help make one of life’s biggest moments joyful instead of stressful. As a Lead Product Manager you will help drive our Ads and Ads Content strategy, work with senior leaders across The Knot Worldwide, and collaborate with an excellent, cross functional and diverse team.

We are a global, distributed company, and you will be working with partners across Barcelona, US, and China offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop high performing ad experiences that connect user needs with demand and goals from advertisers.
  • Work cross-functionally with business, engineering, design, data, and research partners to identify opportunities for improved user experiences and revenue growth.
  • Drive outcome-focus execution - what matters most is how the product impacts our couples, advertising partners, and our business.
  • Collaborate with product leaders to ensure strategic alignment between your products and the overall product experience.

SUCCESSFUL LEAD PRODUCT MANAGERS HAVE:

  • 7+ years in product development, in an agile environment.
  • Experience setting strategic direction, ideating, and launching consumer-facing promotional products on web and native platforms.
  • A habit of referring to quantitative and qualitative data in making product decisions and great comfort with analytics, research tools and methods.
  • Natural instincts to prioritize what matters most, and experience making tough but smart trade-offs, with a focus on Outcomes over Outputs - goals matter more than the roadmap.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective collaboration with your partners and executives.
  • Deep knowledge of IAB standards, ad tech infrastructure (platforms for selling ad space to clients, integrating assets with ad servers, measuring ad performance metrics, and testing the full cycle from sales to impressions) and publishers’ monetization channels and strategies.
  • Display and video advertising experience required, commerce in content and native ad listings experience a plus
  • End to end experience with the full ad product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution / measurement. Experience doing this with new products and growing and scaling products.
  • General familiarity with frontend web development and how ads are delivered on web pages and you can work with engineering teams to ensure we’re developing web pages that work well with ads.
  • You’ve worked with both analytics and SEO teams to optimize web pages and ad delivery.
