In the United States, we have a flexible hybrid work policy for employees who live within 30 miles of our office headquartered in New York City and our office in Seattle. Employees within the New York and Seattle metropolitan areas are expected to work from the designated office twice a week, unless there is a job-specific requirement to be in the office every workday. Employees outside of these areas are considered part of our remote-first workforce. We believe our hybrid approach for those near our NYC and Seattle offices increases productivity through more in-person collaboration where possible.

The Department: Consumer Experience

Gemini is a regulated, full service, crypto service provider where engineering is the core of the company. There’s a wide range of tough problems to solve at Gemini – from properly securing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of customer funds, to developing innovative new blockchain products, to finding new techniques to combat fraud, to shaving microseconds off our API response times, and everything in between.

Our Product team is made up of skilled product managers with experience in tech, banking, fintech, and cryptocurrency. We draw from top players in the financial and technology industries who are ready to stretch themselves and face the unique and exciting challenges of the digital asset world. We are an internal “think tank” that tackles complex, cross-functional projects, iterates on existing products, and acts as the go-to team for Leadership’s technical vision.

The Role: Lead Product Manager

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager deeply passionate about developing and scaling crypto trading products, with a keen focus on driving growth. This role underpins our mission to empower users through crypto, by delivering best-in-class trading products that cater to both sophisticated traders and investors. The ideal candidate combines a drive for innovation with a thorough understanding of digital assets, aiming to set new benchmarks in user experience and operational excellence. Working closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Marketing, as well as other Product departments, you'll employ a data-driven decision-making process and a growth mindset to ensure our platform's features and functionality lead the market in innovation, efficiency, and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the development and refinement of the Gemini exchange, focusing on areas like trading features, mobile app experience, API products, along with incubating new product ideas. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft and communicate the product vision, define the product roadmap, and set clear objectives to strategically execute on product initiatives. 
• Employ a data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging analytics to understand market trends, user behavior, and product performance, guiding the direction of product development and enhancements. 
• Conduct comprehensive user research to gain insights into the needs and behaviors of traders and investors, translating these findings into actionable product features and improvements. Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including requirement gathering, vision articulation, roadmap planning, priority setting, and monitoring project execution to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. 
• Champion the enhancement of user experience, working closely with UI/UX design and engineering teams to deliver intuitive and impactful interfaces and functionalities that meet the high expectations of our users. 
• Monitor and analyze product performance, making informed recommendations for adjustments to achieve key product and business objectives, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of taking products from ideation to launch.
• Experience with retail-focused trading platforms or related financial services products.
• Experience with design team collaboration, usability testing, and gathering user analytics.
• Proficiency in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail, with proven ability to manage multiple projects with concurrent timelines.
• Affinity for teamwork-oriented culture and demonstrated willingness to roll up sleeves.
• Superb verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in regulated industries, FinTech, cryptocurrency, or retail banking preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with:
• Cryptocurrencies and/or blockchain technology.
• Financial technology, such as exchanges or trading platforms.
• Fast-paced startup environment.

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $172,000 - $215,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
