Lead Product Manager - Platform and Internal Tools

Course Hero is scaling! As a Rotational Lead Product Manager spearheading our Platform and Internal Tools group within the Core Products department at Course Hero, you'll play a pivotal role in driving key strategic goals while fostering collaboration across Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Design, Machine Learning, and Engineering teams. Your extensive experience and technical prowess will be instrumental in elevating our platform and optimizing internal processes. Moreover, as an RPM, you'll have the unique opportunity to champion the development of new AI-focused learning products within our AI Study Tools group, while also extending your impact beyond departmental boundaries by collaborating with our Growth group to drive monetization and expansion initiatives.

• Understand Course Hero's strategic and competitive position. Set your team’ goals and success metrics that align with Course Hero's mission and drive maximum impact based on data analysis, market research, and usability studies
• Set an incredibly clear and ambitious vision that motivates and inspires your team, peers, and leadership
• Deliver on this vision by setting your teams’ goals, success metrics, and roadmap and collaborating extremely effectively across the company
• Completely own your teams’ products, existing or new, from ideation, through development, to experiment, launch, growth, and maintenance, caring deeply about our users
• Work closely with teams of engineers, designers, analysts, marketers, operations, and business partners to build new products and experiences that attract and retain users
• Communicate clearly roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels
  

Are you our Lead Product Manager? 

• 5+ years experience in product management, product design, or equivalent consultant experience
• Passion for Course Hero and what we are trying to achieve with our mission to help all students graduate confident and prepared 
• Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized and structured way. Be able to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
• Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, to press, and other audiences
• Experience leading post-launch optimizations including developing testing strategies
• Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you
• Attend Product Development days 2x per month for in person collaboration at our Redwood City HQ or Vancouver, Canada
  

Bonus Points 

• Have a quantitative degree. An academic background in Computer Science or related engineering discipline is a plus 
• Experience with gaming, marketplace products, aggregators, and network effects
• Experience in crafting products powered by Machine Learning and AI
• Hands-on experience conducting quantitative product/business analysis using Python or R, and SQL  
• Experience building 0-1 products

The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
