Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $106,700.00 - $177,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Job Description
Cox Communications, Inc. is seeking a Lead Product Manager to provide leadership for Mobile Accessory business in terms of strategy, product selection, and deployment.
The ideal candidate for the role will be responsible for:
- Accountable for and serve as the authority on all aspects of the Cox Mobile Accessory program. This includes product selection, launch activities, financial and operating metrics, and product lifecycle.
- Responsible for vendor management, including managing funding to support promotional activities. These efforts will require close coordination with internal stakeholders (supply chain, sales, marketing, etc) to support the overall sell-through of accessories.
- Recognized as the subject matter expert for accessories and will also be responsible for the overall life cycle management of the accessories.
- Leads cross-functional teams by example, demonstrating passion and drive to satisfy customer needs through product selection and/or improvements to internal organization, processes and technology.
- Come up with ideas to help promote increased attach, but equally important to analyze the impacts to determine the success of whatever activity is being tried (eg: promotion, sales incentive, or trying out new accessories, etc.)
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop a documented Cox Mobile Accessory vision that enhances customer needs, market / competitive trends, and corporate strategy.
- Develop the product roadmap based on the accessory vision, make product recommendations based on that strategy, and oversee the lifecycle management of the accessory portfolio.
- Work closely with Sales and Vendor partners to successfully select and launch accessories.
- Responsible for activities and tasks necessary for successful launch and achievement of the business objectives.
- Contributes to planning, budgeting, resourcing, and monitoring results of the Cox Mobile accessory business.
- Drive achievement of KPIs including (but not limited to): Sales, Profitability, Inventory Levels.
- High attention to detail including business case modeling for p[ricing and promotions, high attention to detail ensuring product success in retail environment and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Research, analyze and assess new accessory categories and provide recommendations as part of overall accessory portfolio strategy.
- Lifecycle management of accessories to ensure smooth transition of EOL product, with launch of any new products replacing it.
- Analyze customer, business and product performance metrics and interpret underlying drivers to translate into data-based modeling for promotions, pricing, and lifecycle recommendations.
- Guide and support cross-functional teams to move ideas through a project funnel from ideation through deployment as the champion and owner of the initiative.
- Facilitates communication amongst project leaders, peers and relevant department and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain alignment and awareness of current product state and vision.
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 18 years' experience in a related field
- 7 or more years of experience required in Mobile Accessory / Consumer Product Management
- 5 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree.
- Previous employment with a Mobile Carrier or Accessory Vendor focused on Accessory strategy and profitability.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills (written and verbal) including experience giving presentations that allows one to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
- Demonstrated business acumen, business case modeling, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong motivator and communicator both verbally and through written instruction
- Demonstrate strong technical and market knowledge.
Preferred
- Experience in the Mobile Accessory business, purchasing, pricing and promotional decisions
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management
