As the Lead Program Manager, Learning and Sales Enablement, you will work with executives, department leaders and sales operations to develop and implement training and onboarding processes that will ultimately drive the development of a knowledgeable, well-equipped sales organization. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Facilitate in person and virtual new hire training for new sales employees.
- Plan and organize training travel, transportation, meals for trainees.
- Develop, administer, and understand sales needs at all levels of the organization through interviews, shadowing, roundtables and surveys.
- Facilitate role play sessions.
- Create relevant and consumable resources to meet corporate objectives in an ever-changing sales environment.
- Maintain and update resources and training materials that are relevant to the sales organization.
- Help develop standard operating procedures for sales and sales operations.
- Work with departments to coordinate training agendas and content.
- Establish, coordinate and monitor all tactical activities related to programs and team projects.
- Manage attendee surveys to maintain a consistent feedback loop with the sales organization.
- Partner with the Director of Sales across all sales channels on Account Executive onboarding, including serving as a new hire facilitator; create a welcoming experience for new sales employees.
- Manage new hire follow-ups (30, 60 and 90-day communication) to ensure proper onboarding.
- Communicate with all levels of the organization to ensure that messaging is correct, while establishing a rapport with various organizational stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Research options and provide recommendations based on training initiatives, including technology delivery, software, and vendors.
- Oversee various team projects, in many cases acting as the lead; prioritize workload based on relevance to global strategy, visibility and organizational needs.
- Work with Sales Operations channel analysts to determine training gaps by using key performance indicators, reports and quarterly updates.
- Partner with HR and Learning and Talent Development resources to help establish, formulate and enforce policies and administrative support of the business.
- Ensure the best possible allocation of resources against the highest priority initiatives, while also engaging and leading vendors, contract workers and offshore teammates to complete deliverables
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 4 years of experience of field facing sales training
- Solid experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; proven ability to multitask.
- Outstanding business and sales acumen
It'd be great if you also have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Organizational Psychology, Education, or related field
- Experience in the transportation/freight operations or logistics industry
- Project management experience
- Ability to stay informed of trends, techniques, technologies and processes in the training space
