Job Summary
The Lead Project Manager will be responsible for directing one or more medium or complex projects from ideation through implementation for the Network Services organization. Projects may include the development of new internal products, new/improved processes aimed to improve the customer experience, implementation of strategic imperatives to change our cost structure, or employee engagement initiatives. The key focus of this position is overall management of projects across multiple business groups to ensure delivery of specific business/customer functionality that is on-time and on-budget.
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining and leading projects: scope, cost, schedule, risk, human resources, communications, procurement, change management and methods for measuring benefits.
  • Assembles and coordinates project team members; assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Creates and owns the project plan- develops milestones, timelines, and critical steps for implementation.
  • Serves as a liaison between the project team and DnA and/or CTIO resources to procure data and analytics.
  • Provides exception management role by declaring jeopardy conditions to project timelines and accountability of timely remediation steps.
  • Leads the team through collective problems solving or gap management.
  • Coordinates with the Strategic Program Office as appropriate for resource allocation.
  • Coordinates IT and non-IT resources to consistently deliver high quality products and services on-time and within budget.
  • Prepares requests for proposals and conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services/products.
  • Owns projects through the transformation life cycle.
  • Knowledge of the techniques for managing cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in planning and preparing effective written communications.
  • Skilled in presenting ideas and concepts.
  • Skilled in business case/ROI development.
  • Ability to synthesize project information and establish the appropriate scope of a project.
  • Ability to apply strong project management skills and methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate and manage team members at all levels effectively.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of project management responsibility, demonstrating leadership skills and managing technical and non-technical resources through various life-cycle phases.
  • A bachelor's degree in business (or Management), Computer Science, or related discipline preferred.
  • Consistent record of accomplishing short term business objectives. Portfolio of accomplished projects for review.
  • Formal project management training/certification required; Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • Experience with Agile software development structure
  • Effective experience with design thinking principles
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications- MS Project or equivalent PM application
  • Strong understanding of broadband industry, customer relationship management, and financial acumen.
  • Remedial knowledge of field operations, plant operations, construction, engineering design, dispatch, and direct support operations.
  • Ability to interpret data analyses for operational insights. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Effective experience with Executive level presentation creation and delivery.
  • Effective experience with professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and efficient ways.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders outside own area of expertise.
  • Ability to work independently and with others at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills and ability to manage meetings with project team members.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $102,816.00 - $168,912.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
