Lead Python Backend Developer

Our business partner is changing cloud security for the better. In an industry where virtually all of the innovation has been in finding security issues in the software development pipeline, they are focused on fixing them and reducing risk within the cloud. They are taking aim at the single biggest problem in cloud security with a three-step process: Discover and visualize customers’ code-to-production environment, reduce noise and find root causes and owners, and tee up a super dev-friendly fix that massively improves efficiency and builds trust between security and engineering teams.

The team will be responsible for API Integrations with security applications vendors. Their aim is to continuously fetch data from these vendors with their API and feed it to clients with their ETL platform, with the intention of creating dozens of integrations.

Salary:

B2B: 180 - 210 PLN/h

Location: Kraków, Lublin, Remote from Poland

1x Team Lead
3x Seniors with at least 5 years of experience.
2x Strong Mid Developers with at least 3 years of experience.
1x Senior Manual QA

As a Lead Backend Developer, you will be responsible for:

• Taking part in the development of new core functionalities
• Actively engage and consistently contribute to the design and evolution of APIs
• Be in charge of all engineering aspects of your projects (research, design, testing)
• Uphold development quality standards and adhere to the principles of Clean Code
• Taking part in architectural discussions
• Planning of new features, with the product management team
• Conducting Design and Code Reviews
• Contributing to company-wide code infrastructure

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in managing teams
• 5+ years of industry experience as a Backend Engineer, preferably on SaaS products in a cloud-native environment
• Knowledge and experience with principles of fault tolerance, security, resilience, and scalability in microservices architecture
• Passion for new technologies, familiarity with emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions in the Cloud space
• Strong hands-on experience in Python
• Hands-on experience with Terraform & Kubernetes - Advantage
• Experience with the AWS ecosystem
• Experience with Go would be an advantage
