Job Description

We seek passionate Lead Software Engineer with DevOps twist to build robust advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that have a direct impact on the business. You should have a demonstrable history of team leadership and value delivery and be comfortable working in a product model using Scrum. 

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be expected to own projects end-to-end - from conception to operationalization, demonstrating an understanding of the full software development lifecycle. As a result, you will be expected to provide technical vision and guidance to your teammates; therefore, strong communication skills are critical in this role. 

We are looking for candidates who enjoy a collaborative and academic environment where we develop and share new skills, mentor, and contribute knowledge and software back to the analytics and engineering communities both within customer and at-large.

If this is you, you’ll be working with the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) team for global retail company. With teammates in Portland, Boston, China, and Poland, you’ll be joining a global organization working to solve machine learning problems at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, machine learning, or related field
• Ability to write robust, maintainable, and extendable code in Python
• Experitse in developing and managing REST APIs,
• Expertise in relational SQL
• Expertise in cloud architecture and technologies, preferably Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Familiarity in technologies like Jenkins, ArgoCD, FastAPI would be an advantage
• Expertise in agile development and test-driven development
• Good understanding of principles of solution architecture and technical design
• Effective communication skills (with team members, the business, and in code reviews)
