Lead QA Automation Engineer

SystemOne is searching for a Lead Quality Assurance Automation Engineer. As a QA Team Lead, your primary responsibility is to oversee the quality control process in the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing the QA team to ensure that they meet the organization’s quality standards

• Developing and implementing quality control procedures and policies within the organization

• Defining test strategies, plans, and scenarios based on the requirements gathered from project stakeholders

• Reviewing and analyzing technical requirements, test plans, and test cases for completeness, accuracy, and consistency

• Conducting QA audits to identify areas for improvement and apply corrective measures

• Ensuring that all products delivered meet the organization’s quality expectations

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes

• Experience with manual and automated testing approaches and tools

• Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies and DevOps

• Exposure to testing software applications across multiple platforms and operating systems

• Proficiency in test management tools such as JIRA and/or Youtrack

• Understanding of programming languages such as Javascript and C#

Soft Skills:

• Excellent leadership and team management skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Attention to detail and accuracy

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 6+ years of experience in software QA testing and 4+ years of team leadership experience

• Certifications in software testing such as ISTQB or CMMI are a plus

The team is remotely distributed across Asia, Europe, Africa & the Americas.  We use Agile/scrum development processes in 2-week sprint cycles.  The team, and this position is entirely remote.
