The Lead Sales & Renewal Reporting Analyst will provide business/financial analytics and data insights in support of the Thomson Reuters Sales organization to drive our revenue objectives.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Lead Sales & Renewal Reporting Analyst, you will:

  • Provide insightful data, reporting and analytics that drive actionable insights to support and enhance the day-to-day activities of the TR Sales Organization.
  • Key responsibilities include business partnering, sales and renewal data, decision support, financial modeling, forecasting and business analysis.
  • Be responsible for collaboration and partnering across teams to drive results and support the business needs.
  • Be responsible for curating and validating final sales and renewal results
  • Provide leadership across major customer segments and functions

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with the business as an ambassador for sales results, renewal insights, forecasting and driving a collaborative relationship with commercial excellence, to help the organization deliver on our revenue goals
  • Develop domain expertise of Sales and Renewal data to support our forecasting and sales performance processes
  • Partner with Business System's team and leverage Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI to aggregate and synthesize disparate data sets from disparate sources and create efficient and robust data lakes to support the needs of Commercial Excellence and the TR Sales Organization
  • Partner with Systems Finance team to enhance and streamline source system data
  • Understand and leverage internal data (i.e. Territories, Quota, Sales, Renewal) to provide best in class reporting to our sales teams
  • Create executive level reporting output that is easily digestible, to the point and visually appealing
  • Develop and support enhanced monthly reporting, KPIs and insights as defined by business needs
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to operationalize the sales performance and forecasting processes
  • Build strong relationships internally with DSIG Finance, Systems Finance, Commercial Excellence and Sales teams to drive collaboration and business results
  • Analyze data and metrics to tell a story that drives sales insights and action and communicate sales results and business insights to key segment leadership
  • Conduct deep dives to identify trends, risks and areas for improvement and action to the Sales Organization
  • Lead and manage significant projects and business initiatives, develop new processes and drive process improvement
  • Lead, supervise, and manage work of indirect reports
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary

About You

You're a fit for the role of Lead Sales & Renewal Reporting Analyst if your background includes:

  • 4-year college degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • 5+ years of experience in a Finance role
  • Experience supporting sales high performing sales and retention organization
  • Experience evaluating customer data and trends to identify opportunity

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proactive, very organized, ability to multitask, managing time and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Superior diagnostic, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with and influence at all levels within the organization
  • Strong experience with data, CRM data, sales information
  • Strong technical skills and experience in Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Advanced level skills in the following systems: Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI and SAP are preferred
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work autonomously, collaborate and influence key leaders within the context of a complex, matrix organization to drive results
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • A proven cross-functional approach to project management with multiple phases, complex workstreams, a wide range of stakeholders and numerous deliverables
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting
  • Ability to be flexible with working hours to support everchanging demands of the business
  • Superior diagnostic, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Demonstrate adoption of the TR Mindsets and Behaviors
