Job Description AND Principal Responsibilities

Associate, SW Quality SDET Engineering is responsible for software development and testing. An SDET is responsible for creating automated test frameworks, designing and implementing test cases, and writing code to improve the testability, robustness, and performance of the software product. Should work effectively in both development and testing roles. From a product mindset perspective, engage in supporting applications (L2/L3). Comply with Technology mandates as they relate to methodology, process, and compliance. Candidate will have to work in shifts on rotational basis.

Experience/Skills

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5 plus years of Total Experience
  • 3 plus years of Automated Testing Experience
  • 3 plus years of Development
  • Experience with Agile project methodologies
  • Has experience as an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Required Skills

  • Java, Spring Boot
  • Python
  • SQL
  • Experience on working on Azure Cloud
  • Performance Testing
  • Automated testing
  • Proven problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Work in a manner in keeping with the Northern Trust company’s core values

  • Self-motivated

  • Apache Airflow

  • Experience in Trading and/or Financial industry
