Job Summary

This role will implement and maintain the company’s cloud-based and on-premise enterprise application platforms, ecosystem integrations, and processes in support of F&G business needs.  Daily work will focus on software administration, configuration, monitoring and optimization of a core set of technologies used across the company in CRM, collaboration, content/document management, and work management.  The Lead Software Administrator will address software performance related support issues and provide guidance and support to business and IT teams.   

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with IT and business teams on enablement using enterprise application platforms (e.g. Salesforce, SharePoint, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, etc)
  • Provide technical assistance and mentoring to technical team members to increase skill sets and understanding of software, related systems, and architectural design
  • Direct activities of vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contract consultants
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of current industry standards relating to enterprise software applications and how they are installed, configured, and supported in an enterprise environment
  • Contribute to development and documentation of corporate policies and procedures as related to software systems, which includes device use and security
  • Provide fourth level service desk support beyond the first, second, and third level help desk expertise or security capabilities
  • Act as an escalation point for complex application support issues
  • Remain abreast of emerging and evolving technologies within enterprise software applications and packages to assist in setting strategic direction of the core service offerings for the firm
  • Mentor and work with other systems administrators on an informal basis.
  • Manage and provide cloud and on-premise environments in accordance with company security guidelines
  • Conduct application security reviews in conjunction with the Security Team
  • Define, review, and provide oversight for departmental documentation for software applications including cloud related architectures
  • Perform unit, regression, security, and load tests to validate system readiness for Production workloads
  • Support and execute IT Governance Controls and Service Management processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with Architecture teams to create and follow roadmaps and technical governance
  • Collaborate with teammates and assist in developing estimates for project and maintenance work
  • Implement and maintain integration platforms to meet the organization’s current and future requirements
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers and contract consultants
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of IT policies and procedures

Experience & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred emphasis in computer science or MIS) or equivalent experience
  • 6-8 years of experience in a Software Administration role on enterprise application platforms
  • 3-5 years of hands-on platform administration and technical development experience in Salesforce, SharePoint, Atlassian, and Document Management solutions.
  • Thorough understanding of, and experience with, collaboration and content/document management best practices and user enablement
  • Experience with various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, etc.)
  • Experience providing enablement and optimizing value of enterprise applications

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with secure administration and development practices and knowledge of OWASP Top Ten
  • 2 years experience and certification as Salesforce Administrator
  • 2 years experience and certification as MS Teamwork Administrator
  • Experience with document and process workflow development
  • Life/Annuity insurance industry or financial services experience
  • Experience with cloud-based services, preferably AWS or Azure
  • Experience working within an effective SOX/internal control environment
