What you will achieve

The Nuvola development team has an immediate opening for a Team Lead to drive the go to market initiative. This position will be part of a large, distributed and tightly knit team dedicated to implementing, enhancing and supporting the Nuvola suite of applications for Sabre Hospitality Solutions. With focus on scalability, security and modernization this person will play a key role to bring the Nuvola suite to a state-of-the-art enterprise ready solution.

Responsibilities will range from implementing/enhancing applications to troubleshooting critical production issues and identifying/remediating poor performing code. Communication skills and collaborative development and problem solving will be critical to success in this position. A demonstrated thirst/inclination/passion for technology is highly valued.

The successful candidate will have

- A minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience in PHP and Python
- Experience leading and coordinating high performant developers as a Team Lead
- Extensive experience in MySQL and non-relational DBs
- Extensive experience in cloud computing (GCP and AWS)
- Experience with application reverse engineering and refactoring
- Experience implementing coding best practices and design patterns
- OO design principals & patterns
- Web and mobile development experience
- Hands on experience troubleshooting performance and scalability issues
- Experience solutioning complex requirements
- Familiarity with distributed architectures & messaging systems (PubSub)
- Comfort working with remote teams
- Comfort working independently

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
