Lead Software Engineer

Job Description Summary

Join the rapidly growing team of motivated software engineers designing, developing, and testing embedded software for driveline systems. Work in a team environment to develop platform and application software used across a diverse portfolio of driveline products. Projects are highly complex and original, requiring strategic direction, cross-disciplinary integration, and ingenuity of approach. The Lead Software Engineer also plays a key role in developing guidelines and procedures for the software development.

Job Description

• Responsible for 40% development activities (Design, development and testing of software components)
• Develop and configure AUTOSAR components
• Analyzing project and release deliverables/timelines in Project meetings/kick off meetings. Guide program management team to refine the plan and backlog.
• Coordinating Team Scrum to achieve sprint goals, Generate metrics, Ensuring plan refinement and to solve blocker / dependencies to execute sprint plan.
• Perform stringent quality reviews to ensure team develops the SW to adhere to ASPICE and ISO 26262 process.
• Review of SW and HW requirements.
• Review architecture design and development
• Create detailed designs to link the software implementation to the requirements
• Responsible for doing / leading detailed design, coding (SWE3) and unit testing (SWE4). Also ensuring traceability to other phases of SW development lifecycle.
• Support issue analysis and corrective action definitions, Plan SW improvement ideas to ensure quality SW with minimum defects.
• Supplier work product reviews
• Resolving blockers and should have strong debugging skills.
• Participating in audits and ensuring traceability to prove quality in assessments.
  Learning new features and feasibility study for customer demands. Supporting acquisition technical spec reviews

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor Degree in relevant engineering field
• 7+ years in automotive embedded software development
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the year
• Excellent C/C++ programming experience
• Experience with AUTOSAR components and configuration tools
• Experience developing low level embedded software drivers
• Experience implementing and integrating complex device drivers
• Must have experience with vehicle communication (CAN, CAN FD, LIN) and diagnostic protocols, Flexray knowledge is desirable.
• Familiar with Lauterbach debugging tools
• Familiar with Unit test tools

Strong hold on:

• MCAL (IoHwAb, ADC, DIO, PWM, SPI, FLS primarily)
• OS, MPU and partitioning
• OBD protocol
• Memory stack, EEPROM handling
• XCP
• Bootloader
• Fault Management & UDS diagnostics.
• Network management
• Communication, CAN, LIN protocol and Vector too experience
• Mode management, shutdown, wakeup
• Functional safety
• ASPICE
• AUTOSAR experience is basic requirement.
• Cybersecurity experience (Good to have)
