About the job as Software Engineer in our team

As part of the Rendering Services team you will be working on the the existing and future map rendering services - https://www.here.com/docs/category/map-rendering. You will:

• Collaborate with a global tech team comprising of product managers, engineers, DevOps, architects, and QA.
• Work with large-scale data, services, and high availability systems.
• Tackle diverse technical challenges across multiple products and services.

Job Responsibilities

• Build cloud-native applications with modern languages and frameworks.
• Write clean, documented code following best practices.
• Design efficient algorithms for optimal performance, scalability, and cost.
• Collaborate to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and stay up-to-date on tech advancements.

Who are you?

Qualifications:

• M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Knowledge in algorithms and data structure.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust, C++.
  
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP,  and their services.
• Understanding how important it is to write clean, usable, testable code.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Desired experience:

• API development and design
• DevOps methodologies and tools
• Good to have Go, Python, JavaScript.
• Distributed systems and data management in the cloud
  
• Real-time rendering
