POSITION: Lead Software Engineer

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Welch Allyn, Inc., a Baxter company, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with the following duties:

• Work with business and gather requirement on remote service and also by interacting with multiple product teams in Baxter;
• Convert requirements to high level architecture details;
• Design the needed change based on the architecture and requirements;
• Provide leadership to other team members or Implement the changes based on the requirement, architecture and design guidelines;
• Mentor junior engineers: provide leadership to junior team members, mentor, coach and guide them to deliver what is needed in remote service program;
• Generate process deliverables based on SOP: Will be responsible to deliver the process documentations as per the SOP;
• Coordinate with X-functional team: work with X-functional team members as part of remote service program to work on multiple projects and deliver objectives within the project.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field plus 8 years of related experience.
• OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field plus 6 years of related experience.
• Will accept any level of experience in the following skills:
  • SDLC tools and processes including GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Fortify, C#, .Net, Java, SQL server;
  • Angular framework or working experience in Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Java microservices and web services for backend.
  • SQL server and big data understanding with expertise in designing database and creating complex optimized queries and stored procedures;
  • Understand and knowledge of DevOps.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline, experience in working with automated testing;
  • Create project plans and facilitating project activities;
  • Experience leading junior level team members;
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word;
  • Knowledge and understanding of test-driven application development.
  • Proficient in automated unit testing using Junit, Mockito or any other automated unit testing framework;
  • Knowledge and understanding of design and development of modern web applications and mobile technologies;
  • Experience programming or developing applications.
  • Analyze business problems to provide strategic and optimized solution;
  • Design, develop, implement and support large scale/complex software applications;
  • Experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics using lTableau or Power BI.
• Can live anywhere in the U.S. This is a 100% remote position.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $110,344 - $156,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
