Lead Software Engineer

Overview:

• Seeking an astute individual that has a strong technical foundation with the additional ability to be hands-on with the broader engineering team as part of the development/deployment cycle, and deep knowledge of industry best practices, with the ability to implement them working with both the platform, and the product teams.  

Scope: 

• Core responsibilities to include Architecting, designing, coding and building(along with counterparts and Architects) the scalable SaaS platform for the customers. 

Current technical environment: 

• Software: TypeScript, JavaScript, ReactJs, Redux, Node.js, MySql, Java, Springboot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, Rest API, OAuth  

• Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture  

• Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (AKS, HD insight, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD etc)  

• Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Springboot, Gradle GIT, Ignite , Jenkins, GitOps, Docker 

What you’ll do: 

• As a lead engineer you will be architecting systems, creating and encouraging good software development practices engineering-wide, driving strategic technical improvements, and mentoring other engineers. 

• You will architect important systems and anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges via thoughtful long-term planning 

• You will write code as we expect our technical leadership to be in the trenches alongside junior engineers, understanding root causes and leading by example 

• You will mentor engineers, both junior and senior 

• You will own relationships with other engineering teams and collaborate with other functions within Blue Yonder 

• Drive architecture and designs to become simpler, more robust, and more efficient.  

What we are looking for:  

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6 years of experience in Software development. 

• Solid CS fundamentals are a must. (Data structures, Algorithms, OS, Databases) for writing optimized JavaScript code 

• Hands-on experience in Typescript 

• Strong Object Oriented programming knowledge with JavaScript. 

• Experience working on ECMA5, 6 standard JS. 

• Experience in writing custom react hooks, reusable components, Framework/re-usable library, and/or toolkits. 

• Advanced ReactJS and knowledge of related libraries (react hooks, storybooks/redux/thunk/saga/router) 

• Strong HTML 5.0 skills 

• Advanced CSS-in-JS (styled-components/emotion js). In depth knowledge of at least 1. 

• Hands-on experience of writing unit test using jest, mocha or any other framework. 

• Hands-on Experience in developing REST APIs with NodeJS.  

• Open to work on POCs, new test stacks and complex business problem 

• A good ideology for managing maintainable, scalable and cross-browser code across large sites. 

• Well Versed with CI-CD and Agile , hands on with Jenkins/Git-ops /Ansible 

• Experience with API management platforms & providing / consuming RESTful APIs  

• Experience with varied tools such as OAuth, REST, GraphQL, NoSQL, RDBMS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka.  

• Good to have knowledge on vue.js 

• Demonstrable experience, thorough knowledge and interests in Cloud native architecture, Distributed micro-services, Multi-tenant SaaS solution and Cloud Scalability, performance and High availability
