We’re fully remote and welcome candidates from anywhere in the US! We have all-company offsites a few times a year where we fly the whole team out to meet in person, build stronger relationships, kick off important projects, and have fun!

💼 Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Artificial Intelligence to join our team. As the Lead Software Engineer - Artificial Intelligence, you will be leading and managing AI projects while working closely with Product and Engineering teams to build new and innovative solutions leveraging AI/ML skills to solve enterprise-level problems. 

💻 Responsibilities

• Apply modern AI techniques to tackle complex problems, including applications of LLMs
• Design, develop, and implement AI components that seamlessly integrate our product
• Identify scalable AI use cases across the platform that contribute to the long-term roadmap
• Stay informed on emerging ML/AI trends, introducing new ideas and technologies for team evaluation and potential implementation

✔️Qualifications 

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems
• 2+ years of experience solving complex problems using modern AI techniques
• Experience with existing LLMs such as Anthropic, OpenAI
• Solid technical foundation around building backend systems
• Passion for staying updated on the latest AI research and AI systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Proven track record in mentoring and coaching engineering team members
• Previous experience at a hyper growth startup is a plus

✏️ Noteworthy

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The base pay for this role starts between $200,000-$265,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for equity and benefits.
