Job Description Summary:

The Enterprise Cyber Security Product Development Team is the research and development arm of PayPal’s Enterprise Cyber Security Organization. The team is tasked with building & maintaining best in class security platforms (such as crypto, SOAR - Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response, fraud prevention and attack mitigation) that keep PayPal and millions of users safe online. As PayPal continues its march towards a billion active users, the demand for resilience and scale from the team’s products has never been greater. ECS Product Development teams are structured to excel through collaboration and by supporting each other.

Our focus is on teaming with smart engineers who are passionate about their craft and excited to build software for our unique solutions in the space. In our teams, developers have the chance to work on various teams and stacks.

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Enterprise Cyber Security Crypto team, you will be responsible for building the next generation of cryptography & security products that support our ever-growing digital payments & wallet products in the cloud. You will be making key technology decisions, building & maintaining large production grade distributed systems, collaborating with other senior engineers and managers to envision systems that will keep PayPal and our customers safe well into the future. Mentoring other engineers is an important success criterion for this role.
