Lead Software Engineer - Mobile
Job Description
As a Lead Software Engineer- Mobile you'll lead a team of talented, diverse software engineers building features in our Navisphere Carrier mobile app used by tens of thousands of carriers and logistics providers every day. In addition to leading the mobile engineering team, you will work closely with product managers, designers, data science and other partner teams across the company. The ideal candidate will have shipped and managed the lifecycle of widely used mobile applications and have experience leading a team of strong engineers.
This position maybe located in Eden Prairie/Minneapolis, Seattle, Kansas City or Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Lead mobile project execution end-to-end with an emphasis on engineering excellence that includes technical quality from design, through code review, to production
- Build a robust, inclusive team that are empowered to do their best work and are engaged and focused on the product and our carriers
- Mentor and grow the team through coaching, ongoing training and development, and managing conflict
- Effectively communicate progress of team goals across stakeholders
- Code features and design reliable, performant, and scalable solutions
- Encourage an environment of innovation with an entrepreneurial mindset
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience leading small engineering teams, with 6+ years of relevant software development experience in a fast-paced tech environment
- Experience shipping high usage mobile applications
- Deep knowledge of one of the two major development platforms (iOS and Android)
- Experience with cross-platform technologies (ex. React Native)
- Robust design and UX/product sensibilities
- Experience establishing testing patterns, acceptance testing criteria, and reviewing others' automated tests
- Experience with version control systems (ex. GIT, GITHub, TFS, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD continuous integration / continuous deployment practices
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
- Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MIS; or, 4 years of equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED
Compensation Range
$111,300.00 - $246,800.00
