Lead Software Engineer - UI

The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Engineer to manage our central UI platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for management and hands-on development of our full-stack React and Go-based micro-frontend architecture. You will oversee the vision for the platform, which includes supporting server-side backend applications and databases, and a component-based design system that ensures consistency and scalability across all UI projects.

 What you’ll do

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Managing a team of full stack developers focused on developing our core UI platforms.
• Lead the development of our core React-based micro frontend platform and supporting backend server-side applications.
• Developing and maintaining our frontend design system to ensure consistency and scalability across all UI projects.
• Managing our developer outreach program to scale and grow web development capabilities across various internal teams.
• Deploying and maintaining our applications in the cloud, using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.

What you’ll bring

What you need: 

• At least 7 years of experience in full stack web development
• Experience managing a team of developers
• Strong expertise in NodeJS, React, webpack, ES6 and other frontend technologies
• Knowledge of server-side development using Go and SQL-based backends such as PostgreSQL
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

We’d love if you had: 

• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Experience working within financial services

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $175,000-$250,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
