As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
The Finance and Risk Data Controls organization (FRDC) not only acquires and manages data across all lines of businesses but also provides certain key core services that empower data scientists, risk managers and asset class controllers to truly harness the power of our data to effectively report on the firm's performance and risk exposure. We constantly strive to use cutting edge technology in delivering optimal user interfaces for the critical core services used by our business stakeholders in performing time-critical functions on a daily basis.

Job responsibilities:
A senior UI/UX developer plays a key role in our team due to the client facing nature of our products. The primary responsibilities for this role are:
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems. Develop appealing user interfaces supporting real-time, multi-tiered applications.
- Collaborate with the UI/UX designers and team leadership in conceiving the optimal design for user interfaces.
- Work passionately towards building culture of innovation leveraging industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior UI/UX developers in an agile work environment.
- Engage with clients to proactively identify areas of improving user experience.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Prior experience working with a web design tool such as Figma
- Ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and technology partners.
- Experience with ReactJS is a must.
- Proven experience with Java 8
- Completely conversant with JavaScript , WebSockets, Node, NPM, Babel, Browserify, RESTful Services, HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap
- Expert level knowledge of web technologies such as JavaScript,
- Exposure to one major cloud platform Pivotal Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud and Azure.
- Versed with CI/CD toolsets like Maven, Jenkins
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Working knowledge of modern web security protocols
- Prior experience working with modern data platforms such as Databricks
