Are you ready to make your mark in a fast-paced, high-energy environment? We are looking for a Lead Software Quality Engineer to support Cox's state-of-the-art cloud-based Data Platforms Technology.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate
- Partner with analysts, product owners, business customers, and developers to gain an understanding of functional and technical requirements and business processes
- Provide estimated work efforts for testing on Strategic projects, Enhancements, and KTLO
- Partner with fellow quality engineering resources
- Be a top-talent Lead
- Drive results with minimal supervision and mentor team
- Take the lead on difficult defect detection, problem-solving, and troubleshooting
- Execute
- Lead the development and execution of integration development and unit test.
- Drive success during development by facilitating frequent cross-functional standups to review, prioritize, and ensure consistent delivery and standards are used
- Execute test cases that may include functional, system, regression, integration, and end to end
- Provide accurate metrics and status on testing progress.
- Certify readiness of testing deliverables

- Continuously gather feedback on the testing process and refine our approach to deliver robust quality solutions and delight our customers.
- Apply advanced knowledge of testing solutions, methodologies, and techniques to ensure quality is baked into all testing deliverables
- Exhibit a growth mindset while learning innovative technologies and techniques
- Create efficiencies with the testing process to minimize delivery time and standardize delivery
This is a hands-on testing role that will lead and conduct Quality Engineering activities in an Agile team/environment supporting Data Platforms applications across the enterprise.
Required:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent plus six years of experience in hands-on experience performing manual testing; a Masters and four years of experience; a Ph.D. and one year of experience; or 18 years of experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Experience with testing in Informatica Power Center ETL on Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence systems
- Hands-on experience in writing test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with testing and defect management tools such as Tricentis qTest, HP ALM, Jira, etc. as well as testing integrations to/from Workday, Oracle eBusiness Suites, and other third-party software platforms.
- Experience with manual testing in the following functional areas:
- Workday - Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Learning, Compensation
- Oracle eBusiness Suites - Finance, Accounting, and Project Management
- Ability to lead and partner with Managed Service Onshore and Offshore QA resources (resource planning, escalation, test plan/case review)
- Solid group facilitation, communication, documentation, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience working within cross-functional teams
- Understanding of both Software Development Life Cycle and DevOps best practices such as Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Delivery for distributed services
- Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment and adjust to rapid changes in deadlines and priorities
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects
- Quickly understand new information and how it connects to a larger picture
- Openness to receiving and applying feedback
- Possess a collaborative, get-it-done personality
- Advanced Excel skills
- Query Language: SQL
Nice To Have:
- Test automation experience (Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, etc.)
- Mobile testing experience
- Experience in data migration using Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB)
