Job Description

Overview The Solar Foreman leads and supervises a team of solar technicians and installers to ensure the successful and timely installation and maintenance of solar energy systems. This role requires a blend Responsibilities • Project Supervision: • Oversee and coordinate daily activities of the solar installation team. • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. • Review and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and project specifications. • Team Leadership: • Train and mentor solar technicians and installers, providing guidance on installation techniques and safety procedures. • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, address issues, and ensure clear communication. • Installation and Maintenance: • Supervise the installation of solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and electrical connections. • Perform quality control checks to ensure all installations meet industry standards and regulations. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the installation or maintenance process. • Safety Compliance: • Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the job site. • Ensure all team members are equipped with and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). • Customer Interaction: • Communicate with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or questions. • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering professional and efficient service. • Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project. • Prepare and submit progress reports, including any issues or delays encountered. • Equipment and Materials Management: • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment. • Ensure that materials are ordered, delivered, and used efficiently. Skills • Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, electrical wiring, and installation techniques. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints. • Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to solar installation. • Certifications:Relevant certifications (e.g., NABCEP Solar PV Installer Certification) preferred.
