The Lead Solutions Architect works with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals. The Lead Solutions Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Lead Solutions Architect translates business needs into technical systems solutions. Integrates hardware, software and network interfaces to form a system. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
Work-At-Home Requirements• WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.• A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.• A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Responsibilities:
- Maintain the technology roadmap for Clinical Systems that informs key strategic decisions related to technical solutions.
- Lead technical discussions with business partners through ideation phase of initiatives that help formulate the project scope. This will require the ability to communicate complex problems in layman's terms. Develop presentations and reports to support the case.
- Works closely with Application architects to develop solutions with an enterprise mindset for Clinical domain and develop estimates for the work effort during early stages of ideation.
- Responsible for identification of existing business risks related to the implementation of the proposed technical solution.
- Lead technical discussions and serve as liaison between Engineering teams and Humana partners and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 8 years of progressive information technology experience directly related to architecture/engineering, information security, or other specialized technology field
- Should have demonstrated people and process skills to work directly with senior leadership and Engineering teams across domains. They have to find ways to say the same thing using different words for different types of audiences, and they also need to really understand the business' processes in order to create a cohesive vision of a usable product.
- Experience having a balanced mix of technical and business skills, work with Business partners and Enterprise Architecture for strategic direction. The main focus is on the technical decisions being made regarding the solution and how they impact the business outcomes.

- Experience in Healthcare, Care Management and Utilization Management areas
