Lead System Integration Engineer
Job Description Summary
Join the rapidly growing team of motivated System Engineers designing, developing, and testing Electrified driveline systems. Work in a team environment to develop electrified driveline systems used across a diverse portfolio of driveline products. Projects are highly complex and original, requiring strategic direction, cross-disciplinary integration, and ingenuity of approach. The Lead System Integration Engineer plays a key role in defining the product, pulling all the disciplines together, and working with the team to develop a quality product.
Job Description
- Responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrified driveline systems
- Lead and mentor a cross functional team of engineers developing electrified driveline projects
- Be the subject matter expert for function integration and system architecture
- Direct interface to the customer for technical content and function
- Develop and maintain the project's Feature Maturity Roadmap including tracking and planning of feature development and calibration
- Work closely with program management to deliver system level content to meet internal and external milestone
- Investigate and resolve system issues, properly allocating the issues to the correct domain and supporting resolution
- Responsible for verifying initial feature functionality and providing initial calibration to get to "60%"
- Provide mentoring and guidance to the system calibration team
- Lead System Change Control Board and provide visibility of changes to all stakeholders
- Support Controls team refining feature requirements and implementation
- Review, allocate, and approve Stakeholder requirements in cooperation with the system requirements team
- Maintain System level DV plan
- Conduct system level tests to validate feature and function implementation
- Support issue analysis and corrective action definitions
- Develop system in an ASPICE compliant process
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor Degree in relevant engineering field
- 8+ years in automotive system development
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the year
- C/C++ programming experience
- Experience with model based development and auto-code generation of embedded software using Simulink/Stateflow
- Experience with AUTOSAR components and configuration tools
- Basic low and high voltage electronics knowledge
- Experience with vehicle communication (CAN, CAN FD, Flex Ray) and diagnostic protocols
- Familiar with Lauterbach debugging tools
- Skilled in use of Vector Canoe and Canape
- Familiarity with developing in an ASPICE environment
- Familiarity with ISO26262
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong analytical skills
