Lead System Test Engineer

Opportunity: We are looking for a Lead System Test Engineer who will be responsible for testing systems integrations, flight components, and functional and failure modes.

Requirements: You have at least 8+ years of experience as a System Test Engineer who has managed a team and worked with test rigs on aerospace systems integration.

Core responsibilities

• Hardware in the loop testing for all electrical, mechanical, software and energy components
• Lead design and development of system test platforms
• Conduct failure modes and functional testing on hardware systems
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to develop test setups for aircraft hardware
• Oversee the processes and tools for systems integration tests
• Manage the system test engineering team

Required

• B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science Engineering
• Experience with Labview or other data acquisition tools
• Experience with test rigs on aerospace systems integration
• Experience with hardware in the loop test rigs
• People management skills

Ideal candidate

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a related engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience working in the Aerospace or Aviation industry
• AutoCAD electrical experience
• Experience with mechanical design and manufacturing
• Experience using machine shop tools (lathe, mill, welder)
• Aircraft certification and regulatory requirements (DO-178B, DO-178C)
• High voltage electronics experience
• Experience with test case documentation and requirements (Polarian, DOORS, etc)
