Lead Systems Analyst
The Lead Systems Analyst oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems. This job approves information systems designs and ensures they are appropriate for users' needs and are consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job manages large projects and is recognized as the Systems expert on the team that solves complex issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Approves of system scope through existing knowledge and fact-finding that informs the development or modification of complex information systems. groups, aiming to improve business results.
- Oversees changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
- Approves flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
- Approves technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
- Evaluates all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
- Creates procedures to solve complex problems that considers items such as computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
- Estimates the costs of system solutions and prepares project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
- Coaches and delegates work to lower level professionals.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Working as QA Technical Portfolio Lead managing QA teams across 10+ Scrum teams supporting Money Out, Beneficiary Automation, and Enterprise Payment ART teams
- Creating the Automation Frameworks in Money Out and in the Bene Settlement portfolio for the applications involved to increase the automation in testing
- Instrumental in creating the Automation approach for the API testing, Workflow automation, Data Augmentation to solve the data challenge by using virtualization
- Reviews business requirement beyond testing and identifies the roadblocks and creates solutions for portfolio level testing issues (Data/Env and Schedule management) to have problem free releases
- Will know the landscape of testing in dept including UI, Services, Micro services, Red Hat rules, Data base testing, OMNI, CPS, Workflow systems, Communication
- Creates the road map for testing approaches for the ART demand by guiding and enabling test teams to incorporate risk based and automation testing
- As a QA Technical Portfolio Lead they will be involved in the creation and execution of electric flow pipeline implementations with Jenkin driven test automation at component, system and Integration levels
- Will participate in the Epic level discussion with business and quickly estimate the testing effort and come up with the strategy for testing which includes the multiple scrum teams from testing
- Will work with Business/Tech Team/BA's and UAT to create Test Strategies/Master Test Plans for programs
- Will be involved in innovation, ideation and implementation to improve the quality and speed of testing in a cost effective way
- Will work as core SME for the Money out, Bene Settlement and Enterprise Payment programs, which includes - Withdrawals, RMD, Beneficiary settlement, Rollovers, Payment gateways, OMNI transactions, workflow systems
- Will develop knowledge of current functional platforms and has the ability to understand the regulatory changes and is able to articulate the impact on business functionalities
- Will work on multiple iterations on creating and implementing QA standards and process documents. This includes the Automation framework and process and Automated status reporting , Estimation standardization. These standard processes are being implemented across multiple ART's in TIAA
- Will participate in POC's , MVP creation and impact analysis for portfolio and other ART teams
Required Skills:
- Experience with the role of QA Technical Portfolio Lead with skillsets in Selenium, API, JAVA, Gherkin Scripting, Web IO, SQL, VB Scripting, Data Virtualization, Web service and UI testing, JIRA, ALM, Electric Flow, CI/CD
- In depth knowledge of BDD- Gherkin and other testing concepts with hands on experience
- Knowledge of Mainframe systems OMNI, OMNI Pay, EXP AG and has a comprehensive knowledge of E2E testing of the retirement business process
- Considerable experience needed in implementing the Full Stack Transformation of Testing
- Business/technical writing and verbal communication skills and is a Quick learner
- Understanding of the user experience and UI testing, involving the Web/Intranet apps
- Experience with Software testing and Full Stack automation.
- Problem solving skill on Technical and Business requirements to help TIAA to implement the critical business capabilities within the required window
Preferred Skills:
- Retirement Business knowledge including the regulatory rules, Money Out platform and TIAA Business flows
- Knowledge on current TIAA systems and new technologies

Base Pay Range: $103,500/yr. - $167,600/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
