Lead Talent Acquisition Partner
Based out of Rocket Lab’s headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Talent Acquisition Lead you will lead a talented group of recruiting professionals and be responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding top talent for mission critical positions. Collaboration and autonomy are key as you work with client groups to develop hiring strategies and build strong relationships with both hiring managers and candidates. As a senior member of the TA team, you will be integral in fulfilling our mission to open up access to space to improve life on earth by hiring innovators who will help shape our rapidly expanding programs.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Meet with client groups to discuss headcount, requisitions, and hiring strategy
- Partner with team members and client groups to find solutions for hiring needs
- Manage own req load: source, screen, and make offers to candidates
- Fill toughest positions
- Provide guidance and coaching for team members
- Hire other recruiters
- Prioritize roles and help team members meet their hiring metrics
- Provide feedback for direct reports
- Advise directors and VPs on managing headcount
- Work across multiple business groups, utilizing strong project management skills
- Demonstrate expertise in non-standard recruiting methods
- Interface directly with hiring managers at all levels
- Serve as a strategic hiring expert and partner to hiring managers and business unit leaders
- Utilize our ATS (Greenhouse) to build reports and analyze key metrics on recruiting activities to drive process improvements
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience recruiting, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Experience providing guidance and coaching for other team members
- Experience filling roles at all levels, from senior engineers to management
- Experience managing headcount and advising director and VPs
- Strong project management experience, working across multiple business groups
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
- 8+ years of full-time recruiting experience preferred
- Skilled communicator, both in writing and verbal.
- Experience with Greenhouse or other applicant tracking system
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with hiring managers at all levels, as well as candidates and external partners
- Ability to manage multiple on-going projects, be flexible to change, and adapt to shifting priorities

- Agency and in-house recruiting experience
- Experience recruiting for the aerospace & defense industry
- Experience recruiting for high-volume nonexempt roles and/or engineering roles such as: production, manufacturing, test, mechanical, electrical, systems, propulsion, etc.
- Previous experience sourcing for highly technical and niche roles
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.Â
In addition to base salary, Rocket Lab offers a comprehensive total compensation package based on individual qualifications and experience, which may include cash or equity incentives. Employees will also be eligible for medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan options, and to purchase discounted stock through Rocket Lab's Employee Stock Purchase Program.
