Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance for GE Aero's unclaimed property (escheat) reporting processes.
  • Manage day-to-day compliance operations/outsource service provider
  • Interface with our third-party provider to ensure timely filing of reports.
  • Maintain/enhance process metrics & drive process improvements.
  • Validation of Aerospace incoming records for reporting
  • Assist with enhancement projects.
  • Work with Sr. Analyst to build awareness of unclaimed property rules within Aerospace
  • Assist with onboarding any acquisitions.
  • Assist with rolling out unclaimed property procedures.
  • Support answering auditors' questions.
  • Reconciliation of unclaimed property data with sub-ledger detail. Reconcile data to unclaimed property items received, reissued, reversed, and reported.
  • Assist with transitioning Vernova during TSA period.
  • Provide audit support

Required Qualifications

  • The candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in unclaimed property compliance management
  • Strong experience reconciling accounts. Working knowledge of financial processes and systems would be helpful.
  • Project Management and Communication skills. Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities in unclaimed property disciplines at the same time.
  • Demonstrated ability to create operational guidelines and metrics to facilitate strong Process performance.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Experience in unclaimed property
  • Strong research skills
  • Skilled at Excel and other Microsoft Tools

Desired Characteristics

  • GE Aerospace accounting, financial experience or AP, AR, ledger, FDL/FDS
  • Strong experience in Financial Accounting analysis including balance sheets and income statements
