Job Description

Cox Communications is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lead Technical Analyst to work within the Delivery Enablement Technical Services team to help drive success of Test Data Services, Incident Management Process, and team portal delivery. This role will work collaboratively with quality, development, operations, and leadership stakeholders to define, own, and execute test data strategies and action plans focused on growing knowledge of different Cox applications, adoption, best practices, incorporating automation consistency, and solutions. The Lead Technical Analyst will also be involved with helping evolve the Test Data Services and Portal teams and may be assigned to help evaluate or drive success in various technology stacks as needed. The Lead Technical Analyst will also own delivery of key software solutions involved in automating components of Incident Management.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Cox system architecture, from ICOMS to the main upstream and downstream applications.
  • Execute test data related technical functions, including, but not limited to, test account creation (both manual and automated); batch equipment loads; database queries; creation and maintenance of automation scripts and self-service automation jobs for test account generation.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships across key leaders, vendors, SMEs, practitioners, external communities, etc.
  • Effectively communicate across the organization to evangelize and build awareness about Test Data Services and automation strategies to business customers to create understanding of the value TDS provides
  • Coordinate, plan, and facilitate meetings.
  • Intake project requirements, ensuring all necessary details are gathered in a clear and timely manner
  • Communicate and coordinate technical and business aspects of work efforts between team members.
  • Provide time and resource estimates for work efforts.
  • Develop technical and process documentation.
  • Recognize potential delivery risks and customer service impacts, and take appropriate action to mitigate these risks and set customer's expectations
  • Partner with other teams for environment integration, troubleshooting, and certain test data modifications.
  • Provide estimates of project scope and work hours to business customers; coordinate with project leads and set expectations where needed for test data delivery schedule.
  • Demonstrate skill in data analysis and retrieval.
  • Take initiative to document technical procedures clearly and completely.
  • Share knowledge with team members and contract resources.

Qualifications
Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field.
  • 6+ years' experience in a business process design, technical/business analyst role providing technical solution guidance.
  • 5+ years' experience in design and implementation of Application, Integration, and Data Architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of programming languages
  • Experience with Groovy scripts, SoapUI and Jenkins
  • Experience working with technology product vendors
  • CI/CD tool experience i.e Jenkins
  • Experience with call-out automation tools
