About Ameren Services (B&CS)

Ameren Services provides administrative support and services to Ameren Corporation and its operating companies, subsidiaries and affiliates. Ameren Services includes a wide range of skill sets and roles, from finance and legal experts to digital and cyber specialists, plus those charged with ensuring environmental compliance and operational safety. Together, we help execute a strategy that enables Ameren to deliver superior long-term value to customers, shareholders and the environment.

• Understands the desired outcomes and requirements of the business and translates those into technology solutions, serving as a liaison between technical teams and management. Designs and develops digital architecture (integrated processes, applications, data and technologies) solutions for new products/services, applications and service offerings to support current software/platforms and Ameren's Digital transformation.
• Performs technical planning, architecture development and creation/modification of specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leads the architectural efforts of large and complex projects or complex technologies (e.g., cloud architecture integration) involving multiple vendors, multiple technologies, leading-edge technologies, and broad implications for architecture.
• Develops roadmap to incorporate industry best practices, presents solutions, and gains support/approval from stakeholders and senior management
• Prepares stakeholders for implementation, facilitates transparency and adaptation, and communicates how architecture drives value for the business
• Provides deep expertise and builds business case to management regarding appropriate, timely and necessary security improvements or enhancements
• Reviews impact of proposed improvements across multiple technologies/projects
• Designs and develops the technical architecture and functionality of their domain (e.g., cloud, mobility, development ops and automation)
• Develops and shares the architectural vision and direction for a domain within the architecture team, as well as with relevant business segments/areas
• Aligns domain architecture with enterprise architecture strategy and Guidelines
• Displays deep understanding of business models and requirements to design aligned technology solutions balancing cost, functionality and practicality
• Designs architecture patterns, stacks, models and/or technical specifications based on deep and specialized knowledge of the domain, and the purpose/objective of the intended technology.
• Defines standards for architecture documentation using modeling tools and methods - leveraging industry best practices
• Coaches co-workers and provides feedback to enhance skills and knowledge
• Supports training and recruiting (college and experienced hires) for co-workers
• Mentors co-workers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or business Master's degree is preferred
• Ten or more years of relevant application/architecture experience with three or more years of architecture experience required. Deep experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle integration Cloud experience is required.
• Consideration will be given to candidates with fourteen or more years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Demonstrates expertise in translating technical concepts for nontechnical audiences, integration systems, data transfer approaches, analytics, scrum/agile development methodologies, project management and technical implementation and TOGAF methodology
• At least one full implementation of Oracle ERP is required.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Demonstrates advanced foundational capability in domain-specific skills, for example:
• - Oracle Cloud: cloud and infrastructure technology, cloud computing, and programming languages. Hands-on experience building applications, integrations, extensions, workflows using Oracle PaaS is required. Experience with VBCS, FBDI and ADFdi is required.
• - Network: Designing network solutions, technical security controls and firewalls, authentication and wireless technologies. Experience with Oracle Identity services (IDCS) is required.
• - RPA: RPA tools, Artificial Intelligence or machine learning based technologies, bot design and implementation, developing use cases, and the full lifecycle of automation solution implementation
• - Data: Enterprise data modeling, metadata solution and data life cycle management, data modeling tools, information and data architecture. Data integration including data exchanged via EDI, OBN, and other standards is a must.
• - Integration: API design, messaging, and enterprise application interoperability. Deep experience with Oracle integration cloud including ERP, REST, and SOA adapters is required.
• - Business Domain expertise in Supply Chain and Finance processes is required.
• Ability to act as technical advisor to digital and business teams on Oracle SaaS (Fusion) applications, Oracle PaaS services and database technologies
• Be able to lead architectural efforts on large scale Oracle SaaS, PaaS and Autonomous database implementations
• Demonstrate expertise in building business case for regular patching and upgrades to SaaS and PaaS applications.
• Provides expert guidance on workflow for Oracle Cloud, custom objects including conversions, reports, interfaces.
