WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Lead Technical Platform Owner to own the retail commerce platform our retail athletes will use. We are looking for someone who understands processes in retail stores and can define the vision and drive delivery for a scalable and secure technology platform that supports our global retail operation needs.

This team designs experiences that seamlessly connect Nike's digital and physical portfolio to eliminate friction and create distinction in the retail journey. We obsess over how disrupts with new and better ways for consumers to connect with products and each other, delivering sports into the future.

As a Lead Technical Platform Owner, you will be leading a team of TPOs building the strategy, vision, and roadmap in the above area by using your industry knowledge, technical acumen, and ability to influence while working with several Cross-Functional Global and Geo partners (Business, Product, Engineering, UX and Architecture).

The TPO Leader will focus on driving excellence in product and platform strategy and execution. This person will collaborate closely with various teams within Global Technology (e.g., Digital Technology Program Office, Engineering leaders) and key Functional Teams across the business (e.g., Global Operations Team, Marketplace). TPO Leaders will require experience designing innovative, quality technical products and enabling business capabilities and objectives through technology.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Lead TPO for Retail, you will be

a. Lead the creation of an end-to-end product/platform vision and multi-year roadmap for a function in partnership with Engineering teams and the business

b. Partner with product and business to understand needs, outcomes, and value and ensure roadmaps are aligned to those needs

c. Ensure roadmaps account for and integrate dependencies across functional areas within Domains

d. Ensuring Tech Team roadmaps account for and incorporate dependencies across functional areas within Domains

e. Collaborating with other TPOs, and Domain TPMs to address dependencies across Global Tech & provide inputs into overall Global Tech roadmap development

f. Define product and platform strategy

g. Developing product and platform strategies to ensure they deliver outsized value to Global Tech quickly and are built to be scalable and agile

h. Drive alignment to all standard TPO ways of working (e.g., process, artifacts, templates, collaboration models)

i. Track value delivered, product adoption, performance, and execution against the end-to-end roadmap and adjust roadmaps as necessary
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role will work closely with Engineering teams, collaborating with cross-functional partners (e.g., other Technical Platform Owners, Product teams, Business leads, and Domain leads) and facilitating decision-making across priorities within the portfolio. In addition, this person will work with our business product management teams within Retail commerce to understand the overall needs of Nike Retail consumers.

WHAT YOU BRING
This person should be skilled in product management, and analytics and be a structured and data-driven problem solver with interpersonal skills. Experience designing innovative, quality technical products and enabling business capabilities and objectives through technology will be essential. Additionally, the position requires a skilled communicator with experience forming alliances and bringing together multiple partners to execute a common mission.

We're looking for someone with 8+ years of experience in product management and who has demonstrated these skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • Experience in leading big teams & delivering enterprise-level goals
  • Strong Analytical and Data Visualization Skills
  • Great business acumen and communication skills
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong meeting and work session facilitation skills
  • Strong project planning and organizational skills
  • Experience working with multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Validated ability to adapt to new technologies and tools, changing needs, processes, and ambiguity
  • Solid grasp of Design Thinking Concepts and Design Leadership
Additional preferences are:
  • Technical Product Management experience conducting strategic quantitative and or qualitative analysis in a cross-functional enterprise environment in the tech industry to support and improve business operations involving program, process, or product management
  • Managing day-to-day project communications and contributing to Sr. executive management reports and business presentations
  • Experience implementing products using analytics and optimization engines and custom developed front end-user experiences

Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.
