The Team You'll Work With

The Business Technology & System team builds products & tools to support every single business selling products / supporting operations at Carta. We are the backbone of the business, and our goal is to be the growth driver for the company. We develop the platform, infrastructure, and tools that run the business, and we optimize for the long-term success of our internal teams and customers.


We’re seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager who is used to supporting multiple systems/engineering teams and  business stakeholders. This is a full time job and the Technical Program Manager will be partnering closely with our system and operations teams to ensure we’re  aligned with the architectural vision of the Business technology team and Carta’s organizational goals to build  scalable solutions for our sales, marketing delivery and support teams. 


The Problems You'll Solve

  • Manage full life-cycle program implementation including requirements, design, development, testing and deployment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and internal customers, and drive vendor engagements and internal customer deliveries.
  • Work with partners on defining and controlling program scope, creating, and executing to committed schedules, as well as maintaining and reporting out program deliverables across the multiple teams and business units.
  • Own  program status and drive completion in accordance with deadlines, ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Manage and track deliverables and program performance for cross-functional programs covering a range of areas, and report and escalate to upper management as needed.
  • Perform risk management to minimize program risks, tracks deliverables, evaluates timelines and creates mitigation plans with internal teams and vendors.
  • Develop transition plans including but not limited to user acceptance testing and cutover documentation and business readiness.
  • Collaborate with other PMs on internal processes, tools and workflows across multiple teams and functions governance and project management methodologies, processes and procedures.
  • Deliver outstanding communication, problem solving, analytical and program management skills.
  • Work independently in a dynamic and high-pressure environment and timely delivery despite ambiguous and changing business requirements.

About You

  • Track record of delivering technical programs, projects, and products in a highly technical dispersed multi-team environment.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in product development, operations and project / program management
  • Demonstrated impact in owning and driving roadmap execution, unblocking system teams, running meetings and standups, and optimizing processes
  • Strong competency with program management tools (Confluence, JIRA, Asana, etc.) 
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, self-driven, and able to deal well with ambiguity.
  • The ability to set agendas and facilitate meetings, while focusing on critical path discussion topics and necessary decisions.
  • Excellent technical, problem-solving, systems design thinking and partnering skills
  • Proven ability to clearly and concisely communicate with an executive audience in both written and verbal communications
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to research issues, make evaluations on problems and recommend viable solutions.

Bonus Points

  • Proven working experience as a program manager in a SaaS Business environment and/or technology consulting background..
  • Has previous experience developing and continuously improving a program management function in a fast paced environment.

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: 

  •  $168,300 - $198,000  in [San Francisco, CA; Santa Clara, CA; New York, NY] 
  •  $151,470 - $178,200  in [Seattle] 

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
