This role could be hybrid or remote based on proximity to an office location.
The Lead Technical Writer leads the development of documentation to be used in training programs and day-to-day job performance. Working with subject matter experts, the incumbent evaluates documentation effectiveness, identifies potential process gaps, and develops procedural documentation accordingly.

What you do
- Develops and designs documentation and tools to train associates to develop skills for use in delivering quality customer interaction.
- Develops and designs documentation and tools to ensure associates can perform daily tasks efficiently and consistently.
- Partners with internal stakeholders, trainers, and other technical writers to gain deep understanding of the subject matter to build out subject matter content strategy.
- Translates complex subject matter into clear and effective training and procedural materials.
- Analyzes process documentation gaps and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Develops procedures, job aides, and knowledge management strategies.
- Monitors and utilizes existing and emerging technical writing technology.
- Stays up to date on upcoming/trending technical writing platforms.
- Leads implementation and ongoing management of departmental projects and system testing.
- Provides guidance to entry level associates and peers. May take lead on complex situations.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience required.
- 3-5 years of related experience required.
- Understanding of documentation lifecycle and knowledge management principles
- Experience with HTML preferred.
- Excellent communication, interviewing, and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
