Lead Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in Java, Selenium, RestAssured, and Appium. This leadership role focuses on driving both mobile and web automation initiatives within our testing team. You will be responsible for designing and developing robust automated test scripts, overseeing test coverage across platforms, and ensuring best practices are implemented throughout the automation process. Your expertise will guide the team towards enhancing our testing framework while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, RestAssured, and Appium for mobile applications
• Lead efforts in both mobile automation (Appium) and web automation (Selenium) to ensure comprehensive test coverage and optimal performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing processes and resolve identified issues effectively
• Execute testing activities based on defined test plans, promptly reporting defects and issues to ensure timely resolution
• Contribute to the architecture and enhancement of the test automation framework, ensuring scalability and adaptability to changing requirements
• Maintain and update existing test automation frameworks for both mobile and web testing
• Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices in automation and testing methodologies

• Proven experience in automated testing using Java, Selenium, RestAssured, and Appium
• Familiarity with TestNG for managing test execution and knowledge of xCode for iOS automation is a plus
• Strong understanding of test automation approaches, frameworks, and principles
• Proficiency in tools such as Eclipse, Jira (with Zephyr add-ons), Confluence, GitHub, and Jenkins
• Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Proven mentorship abilities to guide junior team members
