Lead Training Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW

A rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology company, Alarm.com is seeking a Technical Trainer to join the Alarm.com Training Team.  The Training Team is responsible for providing training, internally and externally on all Alarm.com products & services.  The ideal candidate is well versed in technology, well-spoken and enthusiastic, enjoys building business relationships, and excels in an ever-changing environment. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and drive all phases of responsible external training programs including development, launch, and maintenance in collaboration with members of the Partner Education team.
• Develop status reports, project plans, and coordinate regular meetings to ensure all stakeholders are clear on program status
• Evaluate, measure, and report on strategic effectiveness and ROI for overall program efforts
• Define and execute learning experience strategies and roadmaps for existing and future training programs
• Be a subject matter expert in the Alarm.com platform, partner tools, hardware, and supporting technology
• Manage the development of new and updated learning content in close partnership with Instructional Designers
• Work with leadership team to articulate and develop objectives, goals, and strategies for Partner Education training programs
• Design and build effective content to meet business goals and shape the learner experience
• Coordinate the launch of new programs with internal and external stakeholders
• Facilitate learning of all Alarm.com partners through live training Academy programs
• Up to 40% travel to engage with partners and provide trainings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5-7 years of experience in training/facilitation
• Works effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment, across departments
• Effectively deals with ambiguity and takes action without every detail present
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and Webinar Platforms
• Experience with designing training programs and curriculums
• Well versed in instructional design, training methodologies, and competency assessment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with external clients a plus
