Job Summary

This position supports the Harley-Davidson Treasury team in the management of cash and protection of Company assets through risk management, risk transfer and process controls. This position provides comprehensive treasury support for assigned areas, which could include unsecured debt issuance/management including commercial paper and medium term notes, interest rate swaps and caps, currency and commodity hedging, cash flow and liquidity forecasting, intercompany loans, and internal/external stakeholder relationships. This position will serve as a business partner for complex Treasury assignments in areas that could include HDFS, International, Corporate, Manufacturing, Materials, and Logistics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and complete complex analysis and reports for use by Senior Management, independently make and execute complex recommendations, develop/enhance and present performance scorecards/metrics to our banking partners and recommend actions based on performance, interface with Senior Management and oversee work of Sr. Analyst/Analyst/Associate
  • Lead and expand the hedging activities for the company which include cash flow, balance sheet FX exposure, currency/commodity exposure, and interest rate risk
  • Develop/enhance and present performance scorecards/metrics to our banking partners and recommendations based on performance
  • Work closely with team and provide back-up support for treasury strategies for other assigned areas which could include unsecured debt issuance/management, cash flow and liquidity forecasting, intercompany loans, and internal/external stakeholder relationships
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations for cost reductions/improvements
  • Perform and oversee month and quarter end close activities related to areas of responsibility
Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Education Specifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred. Preference for MBA/MS or Professional Certification (CTP, CPA)
Experience Requirements

Required
  • Minimum eight years experience in Treasury/Accounting/Financial Planning & Analysis with specific experience in hedging and capital markets
  • Experience in the use of complex spreadsheets required
  • Ability to read complex legal agreements including ISDAs and debt offering memorandum
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead a cross-functional team to complete necessary steps to fund the company
  • Must be self-motivated with a CI mindset
  • Should demonstrate attention to detail while maintaining a broad, analytical perspective
  • Ability to work independently and oversee the work of junior members in a fast paced team-orientated environment
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, time management, and written and oral communication skills.
Preferred
  • Bloomberg terminal use for hedging, commercial paper issuance, data retrieval
