Lead UI Architect - Platform

As the Platform UI Architect at NCR Voyix, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of central UI tooling that supports the platform experience. This includes central infrastructure utilized by various product engineering teams as part of the platform, as well as central applications and capabilities that are utilized by all users of the platform.

In collaboration with the Platform UI Architect, you will drive the execution against the unified roadmap and vision for the platform experience. Your role will also involve researching and evaluating new UI technologies, frameworks, and tools that can improve the platform experience. You will develop and maintain documentation related to the platform UI tooling and its integration with various products and applications within the platform.

Additionally, you will work closely with various product engineering teams to ensure that the central UI tooling is meeting their specific needs and requirements. As the Lead Engineer for Platform UI, you will be responsible for leading engineers, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise, and ensuring that the central UI tooling is up to date and meeting best practices.

Job Duties:

  • Leading the implementation of central UI tooling for the platform
  • Collaborating with various product engineering teams to ensure that the central UI tooling is meeting their specific needs and requirements
  • Working with the Platform UI Architect to ensure execution against a unified roadmap and vision for the platform experience
  • Researching and evaluating new UI technologies, frameworks, and tools that can improve the platform UI experience
  • Developing and maintaining documentation related to the platform UI tooling and its integration with various products and applications within the platform
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise
  • Setting and maintaining best practices and standards for UI development across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on UI development
  • Experience leading and managing UI engineers
  • Strong expertise in UI development and technologies such as React
  • In-depth understanding of UI design principles and best practices
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Experience with UI automation testing frameworks and tools
  • Familiarity with design patterns and software architecture principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the organization
