Lead UX Content Designer, Commerce - US Remote

Content Design at Vista:
As a Content Designer, you'll partner with UX Designers, UX Researchers, Product Managers and Engineers to build intuitive experiences stemming from our existing experiences. Our Content Designers make sure people get all the info they need and nothing more, right when they need it, in a way that's easy to understand.
Commerce Design at Vista:
The Commerce platform at Vista creates integrated, cross-product category experiences that are personalized to individual customers. Our Commerce team is composed of the following categories: Onboarding & Guidance, Browse, Find, & Choose, and Buy & Manage.

What you'll do:
As a Lead Content Designer on the Commerce team, you will:
• Observe the current user experience to understand where customers need help.

• Map user flows, interaction patterns, design specifications, wireframes and mental models.

• Advocate for using high-frequency, plain language to build conversational experiences and intuitive interfaces.
• Understand and define how Vista's tone changes across different interactions.
• Identify opportunities to improve language consistency across end-to-end experiences.
• Define language concepts across various contexts, including our Design System components and patterns.
• Contribute constructively to design reviews.
• Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, Design Program Managers, Researchers and Engineers.
• Work on multiple projects at a time, using strong communication skills to manage expectations effectively.

• 6-8+ years experience in Content Design, Content Strategy, UX Writing, or a related field, (agency and/or in-house) for a tech/retail/consumer brand.
• Proven ability in developing large-scale, high-quality, content experiences.
• Ability to balance quality standards with MVP (minimal viable product) testing strategies.
• Background in producing data-informed, measurable content that considers customer insights and test findings.
• Aptitude for building strong relationships with design, creative, technical and business partners.
• Mastery of English grammar, style, diction and structure.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• A strong portfolio and/or work samples in English demonstrating how you approach design problems.

Nice to have:

• An understanding of other languages and the typical challenges of localizing content from English.
• A passion for learning about and advocating for inclusive language.
• A passion for learning how to improve web accessibility.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams, and/or in highly matrixed organizations.
• Familiarity with working in Figma.
