Lead UX/UI Designer

We're looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer to manage the end-to-end design of our suite of software tools for e-commerce brands. This person will partner closely with our product and engineering teams to improve our product and create growth strategies. At Forum, we're building the most advanced central operating and automation system for the SMB segment of digital commerce. As the Lead UX/UI Designer, you will have a unique opportunity to bring that product to life for users, owning Forum's design strategy and process and collaborating closely with senior leadership.

NOTE: This role is based in NYC. Forum Brands operates a flexible, hybrid office policy in which employees are expected to be in-person at least three days per week.*

What you'll do:

• Own the functionality, design, and interactions of new tools and features
• Work with product and engineering teams to design user testing plans and work with the product team to execute them
• Create constant iterative improvements based on real-world feedback and data
• Prototype, test, and iterate before launching
• Play an integral role in continued UX/UI redesign efforts
• Create UX wireframes and functional prototypes
• Maintain an awareness of competitors and track benchmarks for best-in-class solutions
• Present designs to key stakeholders in design reviews, clearly outlining methodology and motivations behind designs

Requirements

• 5+ years of practical experience as a product designer in an eCommerce, consumer-facing environment
• Strong foundation in the fundamentals of design
• Expert knowledge of product design tools
• Deep understanding of component-based design patterns
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including developers and strategists

Bonus points if you have

• Experience working in innovative, high growth environments
• Worked with Headless DTC platforms
• Experience working with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, and BigCommerce
• Experience working with JIRA, Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator

Salary range: $155,000 - $165,000 + bonus and equity
