Full-Time, Exempt

This position is responsible for the creation and delivery of analysis and data transformation for the Operational reporting teams at MVP, including how we transform and report on data included but not limited to Claims, Configuration, Member Operations, Clinical, Sales, Human Resources and Provider Data Services. The role is responsible for the assessment of existing and new reporting functionality and the enforcement of controls, and adherence to MVP development standards across the Operational Reporting teams. The role: Constantly seeking new ways to improve efficiency of activities within MVP Operational Reporting by leveraging EDMA and any other supported MVP data source, along with supporting any automated technology solutions, Taking direction from the Sr leader, Information Delivery, investigate areas of concern by collecting relevant information related to process and data, analyze this information, and present recommendations and alternatives to address concerns with fact-based information, Be proactive in identifying areas for efficiency improvement across all of Operational Reporting; consistently challenge the status quo in favor of incremental improvement opportunities that could be achieved through new technologies or methods. Coordinates and performs knowledge sharing sessions on MVP systems, databases, and technologies with staff to ensure they are properly trained, acts as a liaison between Operational Reporting and MVP's IT&TS, and Analytics departments; aligns processes and tools between departments to ensure strategic alignment for reporting capabilities. Participates in reporting governance to understand and assess existing and new dashboards and reports that may be of interest to any department within MVP to increase efficiency of business processes, Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:

4-year college degree, preferably in the field of Computer Science, Data Analytics or Information Systems or five or more years of related work experience.

Minimum Experience:
  • 3+ years' experience managing staff and creating performance plans for employees required., 5+ years preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with the creation and delivery of dashboards and analytical reporting for large organizations.
  • Expertise with SQL (querying & analyzing data) strongly preferred.
  • Experience in SSRS, Power BI, Excel, and Access helpful.

  • Understanding of Programming Concepts, and best practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings, effectively lead discussions, and prepare presentations to financial and business leaders, including senior management
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and follow through
  • Positive attitude and strong team player with eagerness to learn and add value to the organization
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to prioritize work and resolve issues using sound judgment to improve processes and drive change
  • Capable of transferring knowledge to existing staff
  • Complies with company ethics policies
