Job Description

ABOUT GOODR

We create and sell $25 active sunglasses for anyone. No slip, no bounce, all polarized, all fun. Interested in joining our team? Keep reading.

OUR VALUES: We have two core values: Fun & Authenticity.

  • FUN = Being sh*tty isn’t fun. Agreed? Taking pride in your work, finding joy in being GREAT, and celebrating wins… and losses. Now, that’s fun!
  • AUTHENTICITY = Focusing on being authentic over being liked. (Next-level guru stuff. Count it.)

Fun Fact: We do not allow email to be sent internally. Carrier pigeons only. JK, we use Slack.

AUTONOMY: We practice autonomy, empowerment, and accountability so that every team member can be in control of their own life.

  • REMOTE WORKING: Most roles are only required to be in office every Tuesday and Thursday with the occasional third day throw in.

PURPOSE: We want to leave the world better than we found it in ways that are unique to an individual’s personal journey. But, what does that even mean??? It means:

  • PURPOSE PROJECTS: Every team member gets to create their own project for making the world a better place.

Fun Fact: One purpose project resulted in a team member’s band doing an instagram live with Sir Elton John!

ABOUT THE ROLE

If someone asked you to name the 3 greatest leaders of all time, you'd rightfully answer: Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, and most obviously Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. However, would you be bold enough to toot your own horn and name yourself as great leader number 4?! If so, COWABUNGA!

In this Leadership Coach role, you'd be *leading* by example (see what we did there), teaching all our department heads how to be the best versions of themselves. Through personalized coaching plans and creating fun training programs, you'd also be expected to fill in for any team leader on any given day. So put down that box of pizza, shout "Turtle Power!" and submit your application!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute individualized coaching for leadership throughout the organization based on the person, the role, and shared developmental goals to maximize potential
  • Develop training, coaching, and professional development curricula to create a well-rounded leadership development program
  • Maintain frameworks that represent needed skills and capabilities that are critical to short-term and long-term organizational objectives for all leadership levels
  • Foster a culture of knowledge exchange and learning throughout the organization to engage, support, and motivate the leadership team
  • Measure and report on leadership development efforts and results
  • Serve as an interim team leader, on an as-needed basis, to ensure teams continuously function as expected during any absences

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has 2-4 years of experience in related leadership development
  • Asks a lot of questions
  • Able to objectively assess current skills and abilities to create clear action plans for improvement
  • Comfortable giving advice and forming relationships with leaders to guide them toward areas of leadership development
  • Able to communicate and give feedback to all levels of leadership
  • Has hands-on experience coaching, training others, and creating comprehensive curricula
  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Asana, Google Suite, and Loom is a BIG plus
  • Has a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) or Master Certified Coach (MCC) is a huge BONUS!
  • A self-starter who can rely on their skill in prioritizing and organizing their workflow to coordinate multiple departments
  • Dependable with the willingness to take the initiative to work collaboratively and with a sense of urgency

  • A role at a company that is going to the moon
