A Brief Overview

The Leadership Development Architect will contribute deep knowledge in talent, leadership and organizational development. This role is responsible for developing programs in Learning, Leadership Development, Change Management, Team Development, and Career Development, In this role the Leadership Development Architect will design, develop and deploy new programs and own the direction of talent, leadership and org development programs in their area of responsibility. The Leadership Development Architect will identify areas of improvement and develop new and leading programs, aligning with market changes and industry leading practice. This position will leverage knowledge and skills in these areas of practitioner expertise to support effective leadership and team function. As part of the Talent Development Team, this position will provide expertise and impactful learning and leadership development across the organization to internal clients, HR and senior leaders.

What you will do

  • Core Activities:
  • Design, develop, and implement a portfolio of leadership development solutions to build the bench strength of front-line to executive leaders and to advance Stanford Health Care and Human Resources people and enterprise strategies.
  • Develop and lead in-person and virtual leadership development classes and programs.
  • Consults, intervenes and facilitates professional development services to internal clients including virtual and
  • in-person retreats, assessments, workshops, etc.
  • Partners closely with leaders & HRBPs to incorporate their input, build awareness, adoption and process improvement./
  • Coaches leaders on specific areas of growth and development via a range of coaching modalities inclusive of team and executive coaching processes.
  • Continually evaluates effectiveness of talent and leadership development solutions through customer feedback, metrics, data and analytics to drive continual improvement.
  • Leads and/or participates in special HR cross-functions projects; provides expertise on topics related to learning, leadership, change management, performance management, succession management, and employee engagement.
  • Leads change within HR including championing and owning the success of new programs and ensuring deployment is successful.
  • Monitors leading practice and competitive trends and proactively predicts and develops programs to address changes in the market conditions and competitive position.
  • Proactively shares knowledge and expertise to help others to develop and grow Remains current on specialized knowledge and skillsets in talent development. Applies and incorporates new learnings, strategies and tactics with SHC talent development programs

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university. Master's degree and/or specialized certifications in leadership development and org development preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • Twelve (12) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to manage a team and communicate program/project goals clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; self-motivated and disciplined to prioritize to meet deadlines in the context of competing projects/programs and client demands.
  • Experience developing and implementing progressive talent and leadership development programs, including proven track
  • record in delivery and facilitation of learning programs in a variety of formats (in-person, virtual, multi-session).
  • Demonstrated understanding of market trends and leading practice within learning, leadership development, org development, succession management, performance management and/or employee engagement.
  • Ability to design and use analytics to monitor deployed programs and identify proactive areas of improvements.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships across HR and with operations and senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across the organization, responding quickly to change and adapting/operating in ambiguous environment.
  • Experience with vendor management and knowledge of key vendors within talent development industry.
  • Ability to coach leaders on complex issues related to leadership competencies, employee engagement, change management, team dynamics, etc.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation and facilitation.
  • Demonstrated customer-orientation, including ability to diffuse challenging situations and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor and tone.
  • Skilled in conducting research and using existing knowledge to develop and lead talent development programs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Licenses and Certifications

  • International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification at the ACC, PCC, or MCC level; or equivalent coaching certification .

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $70.43 - $93.34 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
